Brushes

The Brushes view shows all the default and custom brushes. At the top is a button that shows the current brush folder. You can click on this to navigate to other brush folders.

You can also click the ellipsis icon in the top right of the view to access options such as creating a new brush, creating a brush folder, exporting, and more.

By clicking on the currently selected brush you can edit its properties as well as see a preview of those brush changes using the test pad.

Photoshop Brush Import (.abr)

Animate supports importing Photoshop's ABR brush file format. This means that anyone coming from a Photoshop background can continue using their favorite brushes in Animate.

Not all ABR brush settings are currently available, however a vast majority are already implemented, and we will continue to work to improve the interoperability so that you can use your existing brush libraries in Animate.
