Project
Under the Project settings you will find settings specific to your animation, not necessarily the file.

Frame Rate
The frame rate defines how slow or fast your animation will playback. A lower frame rate means that it will take longer play through your film, as each frame will hold for longer. A higher frame rate will playback the animation much faster since each frame will be held for less time.
Onion Skin
The onion skin settings are used for determining how many backward and forward frames to see while animating and how they appear. You can specify a maximum of 5 frames in both directions, and can change the color of each onion skin frame.
Another configurable setting for onion skin is whether or not you want to see the onion skin for all layers in the scene or just for the currently active layer. By default, this setting is toggled on. Rendering just the active layer helps to save memory and performance, as it won't need to load the onion skin for each layer. Unless you're workflow calls for it or your animation is not very complex, it is advised to keep this setting on.
Loop Animation and Enable Sound Scrubbing
The first of these two settings just determines whether or not the animation will loop during playback when clicking the play button.
The second determines whether or not audio can be previewed while scrubbing the timeline. This setting is great for when you are doing lip syncing work, but can also become annoying or performance intensive when you have a lot of audio tracks.
